This exhibit was recommended to me by a friend, but I actually found it pretty boring. Yes, there's an amazing level of craftsmanship on display here...but unless you have a specific interest in botany and stuff.....eh.

It's called Looking at Animals..huge, intriguing close-ups of animals from land and sea. He's Professor of Photography at RISD, whose images are in some major museums, and whose 30 books have sold over 600,000.

This is a permanent exhibit in the Harvard Museum of Natural History. It doesn't end in October. But just because it will go on forever doesn't mean you shouldn't get around to seeing it sooner rather than later.

On Friday April 27th, 2007 the Harvard Museum of Natural History will be open free only for Cambridge residents, so ask a Cambridge friend to bring you as their guest. But it's open every day, from 9 am to 5 pm, and just six minutes walk across Harvard Yard from the Redline T at Harvard.

A few of Harvard's 400+ invertebrates are now in a travelling exhibition in Minnesota..but will be displayed at the HMNH before long. There's one extraordinary glass jellyfish in the Treasure/Expeditions exhibition, as you go toward the huge Kronosaurus and great hall of mammals.
'Nerd night'was before my time--sounds fun! Maybe we should do it again!?

Haha, it's always a good time to go to HMNH; I try to steer all visitors over there.

Have I not been paying attention? I'm looking forward to seeing to the glass invertebrates. I saw some pictures around the time of 'nerd night'.
